grow your own willow!

Discover the absolute wonder of growing your own baskets and plant your own willow garden! We currently grow around 30 varieties of heritage willow on our small diversified farm in SW Wisconsin and offer live stake cuttings for sale to those looking to establish their own willow gardens.

All our plants are grown using organic and regenerative methods, and we strive to offer the highest quality, healthiest cuttings you can find on the market.  Most of our willows are traditional varieties from northern Europe that have been handed down through the years from basketmakers and growers who have selected cultivars that perform excellently for basketry.

We also grow ornamental varieties and cultivars for projects like hedgerows, live fence, windbreaks, trellising, as well as native varieties for land remediation.  Keep an eye out for our upcoming variety descriptions to see which willows will best suit your needs, or order by project through selecting the 'mystery bundle' options!

note

With so many new nurseries popping up each year, it can be hard to know what to look for in a good live stake cutting. Our cuttings are always 10-12 inches long, and the thickest we can make them, depending on the variety.

Many nurseries are selling cuttings that are pencil-thick or thinner, and under 8" long, which will not yield quality results in bulk plantings. Always be sure and ask about cutting size when ordering from a new nursery to ensure you will grow healthy plants with high success rates.
