Farm Stays

We are lucky to be able to share our basketmaking workshop as well as Casita, our small rustic guest cabin with visitors, students, and residents at the farm. Anyone staying on the land as a guest is welcome to use both spaces in tandem for the duration of their stay, utilizing the amenities of both to craft a comfortable retreat-like experience.  Booking cost for accommodations is $60/night, with potential discounts for work exchangers or private lessons students staying for longer periods.  Visitors are welcome to book accommodations for dates surrounding courses to enjoy the land and surrounding area in addition to your lessons.  If you book a stay, we will send you a detailed visitor handbook to help prepare you for your time here. In the meantime, here is an overview of what we offer.

The Studio

The basketmaking studio is where Anni spends their days working, and students, residents, and other visitors are welcome to utilize this space to make use of its electricity hook up, high speed wifi, mini fridge, and air conditioning. Accessing the studio requires climbing a steep flight of stairs.  There may be blocks of time where Anni has to take a meeting or record music in which the studio will be closed to visitors, but those times will be communicated ahead of time.  Basketmaking residents are welcome to use the tools and equipment in the workshop for your own work during your stay.

The Cabin

Our sweet one-room cabin has no electricity or running water, but has a small kitchen with a camp cookstove, sink and gravity-fed water, and the cookware you need to make homemade meals during your stay.  The bed is in low-ceilinged loft accessible with a ladder, and there is also a twin sofa bed on the main floor.  There is an indoor composting toilet in a small private area.  For many, the studio wifi reaches up to the cabin allowing folks to do basic wifi tasks. Visitors must be comfortable walking uphill on uneven terrain, carrying water, using a composting toilet, and spending a few days without easily accessible running water.  We provide solar lights, all linens, and a towel for river bathing.  We recommend folks bring a cooler and camping-style groceries for their stays.  We do not allow dogs, and charge a small fee for second guests.
